DAY 1: Arrival and Transfer to Munyonyo
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet your guide and transfer to your accommodation in Kampala and Check-in, freshen up, and have lunch at your hotel. After your lunch break, you’ll transfer to Munyonyo Martyrs Shrine.
Munyonyo Martyrs Shrine is compromised of three places located in Munyonyo-Mulungu and Salaama-Kyamula of Kampala City where three of Uganda Martyrs sacrificed their lives for the sake of Christ. Churches and Chapels were built in their respective places of martyrdom. Other Uganda Martyrs were condemned for death in Munyonyo and led for their execution to Namugongo.
In the evening, you’ll return to your hotel for dinner and a night overstay. The second day awaits.

DAY 2: Old Kampala
After a morning breakfast, you’ll transfer to Old Kampala. At Old Kampala you’ll visit the famous GADAFFI mosque, the largest mosque in Uganda. You’ll explore the historical significance of the mosque to the Muslims in Uganda, it’s architectural designs and also climb the mosque tower where you’ll get the best view of Kampala city.
After having lunch, you will have a guided city tour of Kampala, visiting landmarks such as the Kasubi Tombs (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and the vibrant St. Balikuddembe Market named after Joseph Mukasa Balikuddembe a Uganda Martyr also called Owino Market.
You’ll then return to your hotel for dinner and rest for the night.

DAY 3: Bulange Mengo and Rubaga Cathedral
After a morning breakfast, you’ll checkout of your hotel and transfer to Bulange Mengo, the headquarters of Buganda kingdom. Here, you’ll get great insight into the nature of Buganda kingdom, it’s history with martyrdom, norms and identity. You’ll enroute to Namirembe where you’ll see St Luke cathedral the seat of the Anglican church in Uganda.
After a lunch break at a local restaurant, you’ll depart for Rubaga, a hill in Kampala known for its historic cathedral. At Rubaga you will visit Rubaga Cathedral, also known as St. Mary’s Cathedral, the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kampala and take a guided tour of the cathedral and learn about its history and significance in Ugandan Christianity.

DAY 4: Namugongo catholic shrine Basilica and departure
After breakfast, you will drive to Namugongo Martyrs shrine where most of the Uganda Martyrs were executed in the 19th Century to immerse into the insights about martyrdom in Uganda, it is really a testament of faith.
You’ll then transfer to Entebbe International Airport for departure hence marking the end of the 4 Days Uganda Martyrs Historical Tour.
