3 Days Journey to Namugongo Shrine itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kampala

On arrival, you will meet our tour guide who will brief you about the safari. After the briefing, you will have a city tour where you will visit places such as kabakas palace, kasubi tombs, Rubaga cathedral and Uganda museum. After the visit, you will be dropped to your booked hotel for a relaxation.

Later in the evening, you can visit local markets or remain at the hotel as you prepare for the spiritual journey ahead.

Day 2: Pilgrimage to Namugongo shrine

In the morning, you will have breakfast and then head to Namugongo martyrs’ shrine which is located 15 kilometres northeast of Kampala. On arrival, you will participate in morning prayers and attend a spiritual reflection session at the shrine, you will explore the shrine and learn about the history of the Uganda martyr’s trough guided tours.

You will have lunch and then spend the whole afternoon in prayer, reflection and medication at the shrine as you seek inspiration from the martyr’s faith and courage. After, you will return to your lodge for dinner and night stay.

Day 3: Reflection and Departure

In the morning after breakfast, you will attend mass if available and take time for personal reflection and prayer at the shrine as you contemplate on the sacrifices of the Uganda martyrs and the lessons of faith they impart. After you will have lunch and embark on the journey back to Entebbe for your flight back home.
